FASTEN. Wailmer Amigurumi Pattern

The cutest little duo I ever did see! Budew by @jackofallprofessions

Bonjour everyone! Sorry for my absence from ig and from the blog! I am still adjusting to being back at work and trying to find time to crochet in my spare time. Teaching a new grade (and a split class) is a fun challenge that I enjoy but BOY is it an adjustment! It has been a looooong time in the making, but I am finally ready to share my pattern for Wailmer with you.

Back in August, I started working on my second of five trades for the #pinsforpals project. This time, I traded with the very talented plush artist @jackofallprofessions. She makes all kinds of awesome plushies but I absolutely ADORE her Pokemon ones! She made the cutest Budew ever and I love it to bits. I definitely recommend checking out her Instagram to see her awesome work.

It was really cool working with a local artist this time around. It always amazes me how many talented artists there are out there. This project (#pinsforpals) has given me such cool opportunities to meet artists from all over world, but also to discover and connect with artists in my own backyard, too! While the project is moving much slower than last time (boooooo day jobs amirite), my excitement for it remains the same. :)

Anyway!

The aforementioned mouth...

This time, @jackofallprofessions asked for a big rotund boi: Wailmer. I knew Wailmer was going to be a challenge because of his mouth but I did not anticipate all of the frogging that I'd do! I'd say the only pattern that rivals Wailmer in the sheer amount of frogging is Metapod's pattern. As with all of my patterns/projects though, I felt so accomplished when he was all done and ready to ship off to his new home!

That's enough blabbing! Go ahead and scroll down to download the free pattern! I can't wait to see your projects if you give this pattern a try. I absolutely adore seeing all of your completed projects, so please share your pictures with me, tag me @frogandfasten and hashtag #frogandfasten too.

Of course I share my patterns for free and will continue to share them for free! If you really enjoyed the pattern, you'd like to support me as I create more, please considering buying me a ko-fi. Enjoy!

On to the next one! Take care! 💕

Cindy.
